Jan Lisiecki
The acclaimed Polish pianist was born in Calgary, Canada. In spite of his tender age, he performs alongside some of the world’s leading orchestras at some of the most prestigious concert halls. He has worked with conductors including Claudio Abbado, Sir Antonio Pappano and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Jan Lisiecki’s recent achievements include his debut at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London, his first performance at Carnegie Hall in New York, appearances with the New York Philharmonic and his debut with Münchner Philharmoniker under the baton of Valery Gergiev. In 2013, he was the youngest artist ever to receive the title Artist of the Year awarded by “Gramophone” magazine. He records for the renowned label Deutsche Grammophon.
